Breaking: Security Council Agreement on Syria Signed
by Gordon Duff, Senior Editor
The permanent members of the UN Security Council, led by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry have agreed on a draft resolution that will guarantee “peace” in Syria. By “peace,” we don’t mean an end to killing but rather an end to misleading rhetoric which has stifled and overshadowed, even crippled efforts to deal with the terrorist war in Syria that threatens Europe and the world.
The resolution is expected to be passed in a few minutes, 4PM New York Time.
The agreement is set up guidelines for which rebel groups will be included in a cease fire with the Damascus government and for a framework for UN supervised elections in Syria once ISIS and the other terror groups are defeated.
We await the text of the four page document.
