On Monday the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) confirmed that its journalists had been shelled in Donbass by the Ukrainian military, reported by TASS.
‘The shooting team of the Russian Channel Rossiya TV came under the Ukrainian fire on the route Donetsk-Gorlovka in the area of the Yasinovataya checkpoint. Stanislav Nazarov, the VGTRK correspondent confirmed the information about the incident,’ reported the VGTRK.
The journalist said that the shooting team was going to the locality of Yasinovataya which is one of the hottest spots in Donbass.
They were accompanied by the Donetsk People’s Republic special units soldiers. After shooting started, the correspondents hid in dugouts. In 40 minutes they left the area.
