Vladimir Putin took part in the Immortal Regiment procession on Victory Day. The President joined the procession on Red Square, carrying a photo of his father, who fought on the frontlines.

Immortal Regiment processions took place on Victory Day in Russia and abroad with people carrying photos of their relatives who took part in the 1941–1945 Great Patriotic War. The first Immortal Regiment procession took place in Tomsk in 2012.
